In the heart of vibrant diving community of Amed, we recently embarked on a mission that epitomises the spirit of togetherness and care. Through a successful charity event, we managed to raise enough funds to purchase a public Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for the community. This initiative not only underscores the importance of emergency preparedness but also highlights how collective efforts can lead to life-saving outcomes.

Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is a leading cause of death worldwide, striking without warning and often in public places. The immediate availability of an AED can be the difference between life and death. These devices are designed to be user-friendly, providing step-by-step instructions to even untrained bystanders, ensuring that lifesaving measures can be initiated swiftly and effectively.
